Blocked days
Blocked days let you define time periods when users cannot request vacations. You can create different blocked periods by office, team, or company.

Once the process is created and you know who it applies to, you define which people will be responsible for approving requests. You can also set whether those people can automatically approve requests or if additional approval is required.
For example, you can set it so that the direct manager of the person making the request must approve it, and additionally, the office manager must also approve it. This means the request would only be approved if both of them approve it.
If you set the office manager to automatically approve requests, then when this person approves a request, it will be automatically approved.
The approval process is very flexible and allows you to define everything from specific roles to more generic ones like (any superior), or specify the exact person who must approve absences.

For each employee, each employee has a time-off balance where you can add or remove days.
