Is a digital time record mandatory in Spain?
Daily working-time records have been mandatory in Spain since 2019 under Article 34.9 of the Workers’ Statute. As of July 2026, the general rule does not yet require every employer to use a digital format; the implementing regulation on digital records is still being processed. TalentoHQ organizes entries and retains records, while each business remains responsible for configuring the system for its collective agreement, activity and employment advice.
What can I provide during a labor inspection?

How long does setup take?

How do employees clock in and out?
A business can enable the method that fits its workplace: mobile browser, desktop browser, shared tablet, QR code or RFID device. During rollout, employees should be told which method to use and how to report an incorrect or missing entry.
